In [Tiled] you embark on a week-long journey to explore a PETSCII-based world in which you do not have to accept your achieved outcome. Instead, you get to retry, take alternative paths and see different sights as the line between visible scenery and written text starts to blur.

While declining this offer will leave you wondering  "What If?", walking through the landscape a second, third, fourth or even fifth time is bound to make you ask  yourself to what degree sacrificing your initial journey is worth a more optimal outcome and if a chosen ending can ever feel as true as the first one.

[Tiled] was created over the course of three semesters as part of the course "A Film? A Game? A Visual Novel?" led by Net Artist Olia Lialina at Merz Akademie in Stuttgart, Germany. It was made using Playscii by JP LeBreton and the Godot Engine.
